An entire theatre is being built from scratch in just 24 hours to play host to two Shakespeare plays.
A crew of 30 from the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has been working flat out to build the theatre inside the Triangle Leisure Centre in Triangle Way, Burgess Hill.
The company brought 50 tonnes of equipment in five articulated lorries, including a washing machine and cooking facilities.
The theatre includes a stage, lighting and complete sets for the two plays, Julius Caesar and The Two Gentlemen of Verona.
Dean Asker, press officer for the RSC, said: "We have been coming to Burgess Hill every year for the last three years. It is one of the best venues we visit and we always get a good reception, which is the reason we keep coming back."
The shows will run from tomorrow until Saturday, when the entire theatre will be dismantled and sent to north Scotland.
