Tony Gibb gave the new Brighton-based DFL professional team a boost by winning the classic Ford Cowley Grand Prix road race in a sprint finish.
The 106-mile race was contested by a field of 100 top riders and the tough course included a climb of Peteworth Hill before the riders headed for Cranleigh where the race finished on closed roads in the town centre.
Gibb, a national track champion, produced a powerful sprint finish to beat Scottish international Duncan Urquhart (Viner Bikes) to the line. Both riders were given the same time of 4hr.2min.26sec.
Chris Yates and Dave Pollard (In Gear) were clear winners of the East Sussex CA two-up time trial.
The course had to be reduced by three miles to 20-miles due to roadworks in Ringmer.
Yates and Pollard recorded exactly 46 minutes while John Limpus and Steve Woodbridge (GS Stella) were runners-up in 47min.22sec.
Steve Frame and Alan Rolfe (Kontour Cycles, Polegate) were third in 47min.59sec.
Boyd Johnson and Peter Moon (Eastbourne Rovers) were fourth in 49min.14sec and Roger Watts and Steve Elliott (Lewes Wanderers) came fifth (50min.31sec).
Tracey Caudle and Ruth Lelliott, of the Lewes Wanderers, clocked 53min.55sec to win the women's event.
Hastings rider Peter Tadros repeated last year's second place in the Redmon 25-mile event on a course in the Horsham area.
Tadros was over a minute faster than last year, recording 54min.28sec, but Laurence Harding (Agiskoviner) headed the full field of 120 with 52min.11sec.
