A ban on parking is being scrapped because nobody took any notice of signs.
Lime Tree Walk, in Preston Park, Brighton, was the scene of confrontations between disabled driver Roger Dawson and footballers who parked in the disabled spaces.
He complained to Brighton and Hove City Council, which improved signs and road markings at the disabled bays and wrote to the football teams.
But a ban on cars parking there has been lifted.
Mr Dawson, 59, of Elsted Crescent, said: "It puts young children in danger to have cars on that road. They drive down there at 30mph but the speed limit is 8mph."
A council spokeswoman said the signs banning parking had been removed. The road cannot be policed by city traffic wardens because it is in a park.
