Thank you for reporting the launch of the Green Party's election campaign (The Argus, April 8).
Now the date of the General Election has been confirmed, it is vital we think seriously about which party is worthy of our support.
To my mind, there is only one party that is facing up to the reality of what we are doing to our planet and that is the Green Party.
As climate change accelerates, as the ozone layer disappears and as we run out of clean water and other natural resources, our children and grandchildren are going to ask us what we did to try to prevent the huge environmental damage happening around the world.
What other issue could possibly be more important in the long run?
Surely one thing we should do is to vote for the party that is trying to stop the damage.
It is particularly important to vote Green in Brighton Pavilion because, as Councillor Keith Taylor says in your report, the constituency "is the number one national target for the Greens. There's a real chance the country's first Green MP will be elected here on May 5."
