Mark McCammon's Albion career is in doubt today following a row with manager Mark McGhee.

McCammon argued with McGhee's criticism of his first half performance at Burnley on Saturday and was substituted at half time. The big target man was ordered off the team coach by McGhee after the relegation-haunted Seagulls fought back for a vital 1-1 draw without him.

He turned down the offer of alternative club transport and made his own way home from Lancashire.

The rest of the players are off today but McGhee is expecting McCammon to report for training and apologise for his outburst.

"He has not been told it's a day off because he wasn't there," McGhee said. "I haven't spoken to him since he left us on Saturday. I would expect him to turn up today wanting to sort things out and explain himself.

"At half-time I told the players I was disappointed with a number of individual performances in the first half. With one exception, the players accepted that criticism and went out and put things right in the second half.

"However, Mark McCammon did not agree with what I said to him at half-time and therefore I substituted him. I wasn't happy with his attitude."

McGhee still seething over McCammon's behaviour, wanted him to make the journey home in the club mini-bus.
