I noticed The Argus correspondence page was recently filled with missives from disgruntled cyclists - ah, poor loves (Letters, April 15).
I have never been run down by a car on the pavements in Brighton but I have lost count of the times cyclists have run into me or I have seen this happen to someone else.
One comment was cyclists do not pollute the air the way motorists do. Take yourselves up to the car park at Ditchling Beacon any weekend and see these so-called "green cyclists" arriving in their cars - some are even 4x4s - with the bikes on the roof or strapped to the back.
I am afraid I do not respect cyclists one bit, especially those in Brighton.
We motorists have to pass a test, have insurance, have road tax, have our vehicles MoTed each year, but cyclists have no cost - they just buy the bikes and off they go.
Cyclists of Brighton should just have to put up with not being liked.
