M Fisher says I travel on Brighton and Hove buses at the expense of taxpayers (Letters, April 16). This is incorrect.
While councillors are allowed a car parking pass or a bus pass, I do not take either as I live at the heart of the community I represent and within walking distance of the three main council buildings.
I therefore travel on local buses at my own expense.
I look forward to an apology from Mr Fisher.
-Councillor Paul Elgood, Brunswick and Adelaide ward , Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group, Brighton and Hove City Council
