Bucketloads of blood is being spilled down at Southwick with this musical thriller about the demon barber of Fleet Street who is out for revenge.
Sweeney Todd was wrongfully accused of a crime some years ago and is now, with the help of doting accomplice Mrs Lovett, seeking vengeance from those who accused him and destroyed his family.
His murderous appetite devours anyone who stands in the way of his quest for justice while Mrs Lovetts bakery business booms.
Her succulent meat pies become ever more popular and seem to have that little extra something human flesh.
From the tradition of Victorian melodrama, the show also features plenty of familiar sing-along tunes such as Not While Im Around, The Ballad Of Sweeney Todd and Johanna.
It is performed by the Brighton Theatre Group following their recent successful production of Hair at The Old Market.
Starts 7.30pm, Sat matinee 2.30pm, tickets cost £10/£8.50. Call 01273 597094.
