Sussex butchers have cleaned up in the search for the best meat products in the South-East.
Three businesses shared eight top honours in the Awards for Excellence in British Meat event at Ashford Market in Kent.
GM Matthews Butchers of Bexhill achieved four gold awards as well as the title of overall category champion for its traditional pork sausage.
Entrant Gerald Matthews said: "We are all absolutely delighted.
"It has always been our ambition to achieve the title of overall category champion and this is a great moment for us.
"It truly is a great reward for everyone in the shop."
A and R Bailey's and New Street Butchers, both of Horsham, also achieved four gold gongs for product excellence between them.
British Pig Executive trade sector manager Yvonne Danson, said: "The awards were the highlight of the South-East regional roadshow."
