What a good idea suggested by Dr M Boyask (Letters, April 23) to use community officers to do paperwork.
The police have to deal with mountains of forms - no wonder they're stressed.
It's all very well expecting them to respond to every call but if there's not enough of them, what can they do?
In Worthing, I have had occasion to call the police out several times. They have responded promptly and done everything they could to help.
But do we look after them? I don't think so.
PC Andy Misrahi, injured on duty, and now unlikely to return to the job he loved, is rightly angry the criminal who caused his injury was given just two years in prison.
