Hollingdean, a major urban area with schools close by and traffic problems, is not the place for a waste transfer site.
The sea and the Downs mean Brighton will always struggle for sites such as this, which doesn't mean the easiest option is the answer.
There are many sites on the waste local plan which could be used to spread the load of our rubbish.
Hangleton Bottom, a greenfield site, was the only site referred to on the original local plan.
Onyx's John Collis said he did not believe the proposed site will have much of an impact on the area.
I hope we don't have to rely on his word because then it will be too late.
