A couple accused of filling in a cattle grid with concrete denied causing criminal damage when they appeared in court.
Fred and Carol Marzillius were both charged with causing £200 damage to the grid on Telscombe Tye.
They made their first appearance at Lewes Magistrates Court yesterday.
Their case was adjourned until May 11 when a date will be set for trial.
Fred, 55, who rides a BMW 1100 motorbike, and his wife Carol, 51, who rides a scooter, have to negotiate the grid to reach their home in Telscombe.
The grid is owned by Telscombe Town Council.
The couple were remanded on bail.
