Few dances or musical styles are as dramatic and exciting as the tango, which has been closely associated with the fires of passion since its development in Argentina at the turn of the 19th Century.
This show sees the UK's leading tango dance couple, Mina and Giraldo, teaming up with the country's foremost tango music ensemble, Tango Siempre, for what should prove an unmissable show for devotees of this spectacular style.
The show traces the development of the tango, from its origins in Buenos Aries in the early 1900s right through to more modern incarnations, such as the jazz-influenced Nuevo Tango developed by Astor Piazzolla.
The music ranges from traditional tangos, milongas and waltzes through to original compositions by the band's accordionist, Pete Rosser.
Mina and Giraldo have performed in more than 100 locations around Europe, as well as for Deborah Bull's BBC dance season programme.
The duo also choreographed the Channel 4 film Dance and were selected to dance in the Evita film.
Starts 8.30pm, tickets cost £12/10. Call 01273 647100.
