Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson is hoping the Bank Holiday has helped his players recover for tonight's Conference south play-off.

Borough face their fourth game in a week against Thurrock at Ship Lane (7.45pm) with a place in the final against Cambridge City on Saturday up for grabs.

Borough crashed to a 4-1 defeat against Carshalton on Saturday, which ended a six-game unbeaten run, while Thurrock lost 3-0 against Basingstoke after fielding a weakened team.

Wilson said: "We ran out of steam against Carshalton and it will be difficult to pick the players up after the long week we have had.

"But the good thing is we've had a Bank Holiday weekend which means the players had Monday off work to give them more time to recover.

"The game is also in the evening which means the weather will be a bit cooler, so hopefully we will be more refreshed than we were on Saturday."

Midfielder Danny Chapman returns to the squad after recovering from a calf injury and Aldershot loan defender Phil Warner is eligible to play.

Midfielder Darren Smith is unavailable after going on honeymoon and winger Ollie Rowland begins a two-match suspension.
