Alongside Brian Eno, Harold Budd was one of the founding fathers of ambient music.
Their collaborative effort, Ambient 2: The Plateaux Of Mirrors, brought Budd worldwide acclaim.
His sparse, hypnotic and deeply atmospheric aural soundscapes were shaped by the Mojave desert landscapes of his childhood and the music of John Cage and Morton Feldman.
Budd himself has left a profound impression on the likes of neo-classical minimalist Michael Nyman and producers/remixers Fila Brazilia.
He will be joined by Steve Cobby (Fila Brazillia) Bill Nelson (Bebop Deluxe), John Foxx (Ultravox), Jah Wobble (PIL), Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and others for this, his last ever live performance.
Starts 7.30pm, tickets £18/£16/£14.
