Gregory Barker increased an already massive Tory majority as he romped home in Bexhill and Battle.
Mr Barker won a ten percent swing from Labour to Conservative as his majority leapt from 10,500 in 2001 to about 13,500.
Liberal Democrat Mary Barrall trailed in second with 11,180 votes while Labour's Michael Jones was unable to improve his party's traditional status as third best in the constituency.
Elected: Gregory Barker (C) 24,629.
Not elected: Mary Barrall (LD) 11,180, Michael Jones (L) 8,457, Anthony Smith (UKIP) 2,568.
Turnout: 67.7 per cent.
Majority: 13,449.
