Peatbog Faeries, Komedia, Gardner Sreet, Brighton, May 6
Hailing from the Isle of Skye, this six-strong band specialise in high-octane Celtic dance music led by pipes, whistles, guitar and keyboards.
From traditional jigs and reels through to jazz, hip-hop and reggae, their music has been called the future of Celtic dance.
The band have taken audiences across the world by storm, and played the main stage at midnight during Glasgow's Millennium celebrations..

The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Brighton Centre, Kings Road, Brighton, May 6
Few tribute acts can claim to be officially endorsed by their idols, but the Aussie Floyd received the ultimate accolade back in 1996 when original Floyd guitarist Dave Gilmour asked them to play at his 50th birthday party.
The band have worked hard to make their first UK arena shows as authentic as possible. This year, for the first time, UK audiences can witness the glorious cavalcade of lights, lasers and inflatables used on the band's mammoth 2004 US arena tour.

Sherman Robertson and Bluesmove, Komedia, Brighton, May 9
Raised in Houston, Texas, it didn't take long for bluesman Sherman Robertson to earn a reputation as a master of zydeco, hard-swinging Texas blues and R&B, and he has played sessions for Paul Simon.
In 2003 he teamed up with top UK blues band BluesMove for a handful of shows. The collaboration proved fruitful and Robertson has continued to tour with them since. Expect potent blues vocals and sizzling guitar grooves.

The Go-betweens, Concorde 2, Brighton, May 9
From acoustic origins The Go-Betweens burst onto the early Eighties alt-rock scene with post-punk swagger. They signed to Rough Trade and released a succession of critically acclaimed albums.
The core of Robert Forster and Grant McLennan parted to pursue solo careers at the end of the decade but five years ago they decided it was time to resurrect the band. Catch the first date of their European tour ahead of their forthcoming album, Oceans Apart.

The Magic Numbers, Concorde 2, Brighton, May 11
As if a recording a session for Steve Lamacq and touring in support of Athlete and Doves was not enough, The Magic Numbers are embarking on their largest headline UK tour to date.
The band revolves around Trinidadian guitarist Romeo. His sister Michelle plays bass, while another brother-sister duo (Sean and Angela) assume percussive duties.
The Magic Numbers, like Beck or The Flaming Lips, distil a myriad of diverse influences into a unique sound.

Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Sussex Arts Club, Brighton, May 11 This Mexican-born, Dublin-based duo successfully blend heavy metal with jazz and flamenco to create an exhilarating, entirely unique performance, and have supported such diverse performers as Courtney Pine, and Will Young.
Their live shows are remarkable and the press are beginning to catch on to their captivating performances. The Guardian described them as "witty,gutsy virtuosos who look like refugees from a rock band".
