Perhaps someone at Brighton and Hove City Council could reply as to why, when there is room enough for a dual carriageway and separate cycle lane from Patcham to Preston Park on the A23 trunk road, the major artery into the city, the authorities have seen fit to narrow the road by inserting a bus lane and unecessarily delaying both the commercial and leisure traffic on which the city depends.
Again, in Woodingdean, another route into the city is made more difficult by the lack of a filter lane for right-hand turns which could be easily and cheaply remedied.
I expect the standard response is we should use public transport.
Sorry, but I cannot take the parcels in my van on a bus.
