What a silly letter from Richard J Szypulski in response to yet another excellent and informative article (The Argus, April 29) by the premier columnist of The Argus, Jean Calder.
There is a world of difference between Allen West's production of vital components in the Second World War and the components which are produced by EDO for bombers used in Iraq.
One was in support of an international coalition fighting Fascism, where the evidence of armaments and genocide is beyond question.
EDO makes money from an illegal war where there is no evidence of weapons of mass destruction, nor did the Iraq war enjoy support of the international community.
If Mr Szypulski cannot see the difference, then I would immediately call for the reactivation of the Workers Education Association so that trade unionists like him can stop being so ill-informed.
