Hungary's International Theatre Festival to find that the host town had only one pedestrian crossing in sight, 3hird Wheel Theatre Company were slightly perturbed.
But, if the idyllically placed critics of Kazinbaricka could give this tale of communal road rage the award for Best Production, it certainly shouldn't have any difficulty in finding favour with the people of Brighton.
A physical comedy about the havoc wreaked on a small village by an ardent town planner, Changed Priorities is the work of young Wolverhampton actors Tom Parry, Chris Bowman and Ben Clark, who star alongside six wooden decking tiles and 7ft poles.
When a hapless town planner is assigned by head office to revolutionise the sleepy town of Nowhere, it becomes apparent to the locals that their way of life will never be the same again. Within days the Shop has a mini-roundabout inside it, toddlers are assigned L-plates and the Mayor has a speeding ticket for talking too fast.
A festival hit all over Europe, this show of "small miracles" is just one of 13 productions taking place at Platform 1 Theatre, a new venue located above the Polar Central Bar which is operating for the first time in this year's Fringe.
