A Sussex woman who spent two months in a Dubai prison after being found with traces of prescription drugs in her body is on her way home.
Her lawyer explained last night that she was being allowed to return immediately.
The painkiller codeine and the sedative tamazepam - both illegal in the United Arab Emirates - were found in Tracy Wilkinson's urine when she was arrested at Dubai airport for an irregularity on her passport.
The 44-year-old, from Balcombe, near Haywards Heath, was acquitted of any wrong-doing by a Dubai court on Sunday, after it emerged she may have been administered the drugs at the airport by a police doctor.
Prosecutors normally have 15 days to lodge an appeal but a spokesman for campaigning organisation Fair Trials Abroad said the authorities had waived the cooling off period. He said Ms Wilkinson, who runs the Balcombe Osteopath and Sports Injury Clinic, was due to arrive at Heathrow today at 6.20am.
The mother-of-two faced a possible four years in prison after her arrest on March 5.
She spent nearly eight weeks in jail before being released on bail on April 30.
