Britain has always been seen as a democracy - but no longer. In the recent General Election, 78 per cent of eligible voters did not vote for Labour, which won.
Only 20 per cent of the elctorate voted Tory, 13 per cent Liberal Democrat, six per cent for "others" - and 39 per cent did not vote at all.
The Government was not elected by the majority of the people, so Britain can no longer be considered a democracy.
