Police are trying to trace two teenage girls in connection with the killing of a McDonald's restaurant assistant.
The two were involved in a minor altercation in the restaurant in Terminus Road, Chichester, on Saturday, April 9, a week before Jackie Marshall was stabbed to death.
A police spokeswoman said: "We wish to identify these girls and urge them and their parents to come forward.
"They are not being sought for any offences but are needed as witnesses."
The girls are both in their early teens. One has long dark brown hair in two bunches and was wearing a pale baseball cap, pink hoodie top, with beige sleeveless quilted jacket with hood and jeans.
The second has light brown shoulder length hair and wore a black scarf, hooded white top, dark trousers and was carrying a bag.
Shane Freer, a 20-year-old former McDonald's employee of First Avenue, Batchmere, Chichester, is charged with murdering Mrs Marshall, 57, from Southbourne, Chichester, and has been remanded in custody until June 24.
Anyone with information about the teenage girls should contact Sussex Police, quoting Operation Falmouth, on 0845 6070999.
