It was good to read of Emma King's positive experience with Whitehawk's Good Neighbour Scheme.

It is one of several local groups making a difference to people in the area.

There are several excellent schemes, organisations and groups working on the estate and across east Brighton, from local tenant and resident groups, to the Crew Club and the Whitehawk Inn, run by staff and volunteers from the community.

Whitehawk too often gets a bad press. There are still some challenges but there is also a feeling of things moving in the right direction, which Whitehawk residents should take credit for.
