A guitarist has left one of Britain's most exciting rock bands.
Andy Huxley has decided to part company with The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster.
He has been with the Brighton-based rockers since they debuted in 2002.
The band attribute his departure to "a decrease in musical similarities".
They released a statement, which said: "It has been an absolute pleasure being in a band with such an extraordinary guitar player who has donned so many incredible hairstyles.
"We've built a wonderful and enduring friendship and are all very proud of the music we created together.
"We wish him all the best for the future."
Mr Huxley will be replaced by Rich Fownes, previously a member of Brighton band Chasing Ares.
He will join the band for their forthcoming European tour supporting System Of A Down, playing his first show to 40,000 people at Lisbon's Superbock festival.
The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster have had a rocky couple of months since releasing their latest album The Royal Society last autumn.
The band left their record company Universal/Island in December 2004 citing frustration at being unable to release their music overseas.
Mr Huxley said: "The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster are the greatest band in the UK and will become the greatest band in the world"
