I have two grand-daughters who attend Downs School and they received the leaflet and map of Onyx's proposed waste reclamation site through the post.
The map shows the movement of traffic on site from Upper Hollingdean Road.
When I rang up to make a few enquiries, I was told traffic would be going round the back of the depot which means they will be within feet and not metres of the playground of Downs Infant School. This was not shown on the map.
The letter also states the planning committee will take any comments which are made.
I telephoned my local councillor, Ken Norman, on March 24 about wheelie bins.
I then told him I objected to the Hollingdean proposed site. He replied: "No comment. I am on the planning committee".
It seems to me Brighton and Hove City Council and Onyx's attitude is not in my back yard so get on with it.
As well as the local residents, we are talking about children of four and upward being affected here.
