The stunning Borde Hill Garden has won a prestigious national prize.
The botanically-rich heritage garden, near Haywards Heath, won the 2004 Garden of the Year award sponsored by the Historic Houses Association and Christie's.
The award is in its 21st year and is designed to recognise the importance of gardens, either in their own right or as settings for historic houses.
Borde Hill was created in the early 1900s and is set within more than 150 acres of parkland.
It is described as a venue which "captivates and delights visitors throughout each season with a series of intimate garden rooms, fine woodland, open parkland, lakes and outstanding views across the Sussex Hight Weald".
