A prodigiously talented pianist, Rachmaninov is best known for his dramatic and highly passionate piano concertos. Yet the Russian composer was also blessed with a tremendous gift for choral writing.
Vespers, written in 1913, has been described as one of the most moving a capella choral pieces ever written.
The piece will be performed by the Brighton Festival Chorus, one of the country's most versatile choirs.
Starts 10pm, tickets cost £15/12. Call 01273 709709.
