The man behind the monkey movement in Greystoke, Gorillas In The Mist and Congo, top animal expert Peter Elliot will be choreographing the paw moves in this new production of The Jungle Book.
With a little help from Disney, Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book has become one of the best-known children's stories of the past 100 years. And now Birmingham Stage Company, renowned for its highquality theatre productions of children's classics, is launching its first major theatre tour.
The Jungle Book tells the story of Mowgli, a young boy who is raised in the jungle by a family of wolves.
When Shere Khan the tiger swears to kill the child, Baloo, the bear and Bagheer, the panther, agree to take the boy to the man village for his safety. But the jungle holds danger and surprises for them all.
BSC commissioned well-known children's playwright Stuart Paterson to adapt Kipling's tale for the stage, using the lyrics of Barb Jungr and with musical direction by Chris Walker of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
