Further to your front page headline regarding traffic difficulties on routes into Brighton (The Argus, May 12), I can advise that, as a resident of Beaconsfield Road, I have received no communication from Brighton and Hove City Council regarding the current extensive road works taking place.
The first indication of such activity was a yellow sign in Ditchling Rise early the previous week initiated by the contractors.
So far, the amount of heavy machinery, general dirt from excavation and noise pollution from irate motorists has been quite unbearable.
Perhaps the city council would be better suited in providing services and information to its tax-paying residents rather than pandering to the every whim and need of its current favourite minority group.
