Tributes have been paid to a man who died when his car plunged over 100ft cliffs after failing to stop for police.
Flowers were laid on the cliff edge for Dean Paul Noakes, 29, of Thorndean Road, Moulsecoomb, Brighton.
Mr Noakes died instantly when his silver Nissan Sunny crossed two lanes of oncoming traffic before smashing through a fence above Brighton Marina just before 9pm last Saturday.
The car landed on its roof 100ft below on the Undercliff Walk.
Police confirmed Mr Noakes had failed to stop for a police patrol car just before the accident on the 50mph stretch of the A259.
Among the flowers are messages, including one from a friend stating Mr Noakes was "like a brother" to him.
Another read: "Our friend forever in our hearts. Love will tear you apart again and again and again. Now you're gone but not forgotten. See you soon."
The crash was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission and is being managed by Commissioner David Petch and conducted by Inspector Mark Armstrong of Sussex Police roads policing department.
