This is an open letter to the heartless thief who broke into my daughter's car.
Before you broke in, didn't you see the baby seat and toys around the car? Didn't you notice it was a K-reg Fiesta? Didn't you think its owner may have had a baby and probably not a lot of money due to the age and type of car?
You smashed in the window, showering the baby seat and toys with shards of glass, ripped out her CD-player, which was a birthday gift from her partner, which he worked hard to save up for.
Then you stole the baby's pushchair which was only two months old, and also had to be paid for with hard-earned cash.
My daughter is eight-months pregnant.
I would like you to have seen how upset she was and to have seen my 20-month-old grandaughter arriving back from a trip to the shops soaked to the skin from a rainfall. When eight-months pregnant, you can't carry shopping and a young child. And yes, now she has a cold.
My daughter could only afford third-party fire and theft so she can't claim what was stolen on her insurance.
I hope you are proud of yourself.
