During this year's Brighton Festival, I have been to a few evenings of theatre and music, with an average ticket price of £25.
I've had a few drinks at the bars in the Dome and Corn Exchange - at much higher prices than in the pub - and to cap it all, paid an £8 fee at the NCP car park in Church Street for four hours parking.
I've been involved in and supported the arts in Brighton and Hove for 35 years but I've never felt I was being ripped off before.
Perhaps Brighton Festival organisers, Brighton and Hove Council and NCP car parks should sit round a table and discuss the notion of overcharging, asking themselves "how far can you push Brighton's arts-loving public before their enthusiasm implodes?"
