When a major Hollywood film studio descends on rural Ireland, the demand for extras from the local community is huge.
A must for fans of Father Ted, Marie Jones' comedy sees two actors take on an entire village, bringing more than 15 extraordinary characters, of differing ages and sexes, to life.
The comic tale of when Hollywood goes rustic has become one of the most popular shows of the decade. Since being premiered at the Edinburgh fringe in 1999, it has been performed in 20 countries in 16 languages, transferred to Broadway and is currently being made into a film starring Dylan Moran.
For those who have seen the twohander too many times already, Jones has now written a second hit, The Blind Fiddler. This story of a mother's misguided ambition for her children was the talk of last year's Edinburgh Festival.
