Architect Frank Gehry should abandon any move to tame the size of the new King Alfred leisure centre (The Argus, May 21).
Keep Sussex Skating (KSS) wants the new sports centre to be the best in Britain and put Brighton and Hove out in front.
KSS calls for an international-size hockey pitch with a combined inline speed skating circuit around the periphery.
The best mix of top-class specifications of indoor sports in Britain is what our city and the King Alfred site urgently deserves - we have waited long enough.
The skaters only need a few metres more added to the proposed sports hall. KSS wishes to see the design extended not reduced and public consultation is a must.
The international-size hockey pitch will complement the international-size ice rink proposed for Black Rock and would help make Brighton and Hove an international skating sports centre.
KSS says: "Come on Frank Gehry and the city council, please get your skates on and keep Britain skating".
