With the number of homeless people forever increasing throughout the world due to natural and man-made disasters, why can't an up-to-date version of the pre-fab house be made to satisfy the huge demand?
These houses, crated in flat-packs, could be factory made and shipped to homeless people, all over the world to be erected by semi-skilled labour on selected sites at a low cost.
The oil-producing nations, which enjoy great prosperity, could contribute to this cost, as well as the United Nations and other world-wide organisations.
It is a scandal that, in this day and age, there are still millions of homeless people.
