A businessman has had a mural painted to stop vandals spraying tags.
Frank Jay, a partner at New Era Associates, in Ship Street Gardens, Brighton, commissioned a mural for the side of his building after reading in The Argus about a pub which had done the same thing.
He said: "We have got a lovely little alleyway outside which is great during the day, but at night there is a shift in atmosphere.
"We thought we'd make it better by having a beautiful mural there instead of tags."
He paid for paints and brought in an artist known as Bambi to create a mural featuring a wizard.
He said: "It was finished last week and we haven't had a single tag.
"The idea was to make the wall so beautiful nobody would want to spray graffiti on it."
