Five teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murder of a married father-of- two.
Gary Rae, 40, was found bleeding heavily following a row outside his flat above a shop in Hailsham High Street on May 29.
He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital but later died of his injuries.
Two of the defendants, Jason Jackson, 17, of Albert Road, Polegate, and Luke Jones, 17, of Meadow Road, Hailsham, can be named for first time after legal restrictions were lifted at Lewes Crown Court yesterday.
Joining them in the dock were William Devall, 18, of Meadow Road, Hailsham, Shane Challice, 18, of South Road, Hailsham, and a fifteen-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Aaron Devall, 32, of Pine Court, The Diplocks, Hailsham, appeared to answer a charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
All six were remained in custody to appear again at Lewes Crown Court on September 9.
Last week, Mark Hedges, 19, of Mill Road, Hailsham, was remanded in custody at Eastbourne magistrates, charged with witness intimidation in relation to the case.
Sussex Police say inquiries are continuing to identify a further suspect who may have been involved in Mr Rae's killing.
