During the past two weeks, I have walked from Elm Grove to Brighton Pier on my way to a first aid course in Hove and have been appalled by the state of the streets.
There were black bags of rubbish, some had been opened and there was food and all sorts of other horrible things scattered over the pavement.
I saw a tramp in the middle of the pavement emptying the contents out of a bin bag and leaving it there.
All this rubbish looks unsightly, especially as this is the main road into the city.
Is there no other way these bags can be disposed or hidden? What about putting a couple of large
containers at the end of side streets?
I spoke to a street cleaner and told him he was doing a grand job. How awful for them to have to dodge in and out of the bags.
