Construction company Bluestone has won an award for safety.
The firm, which has offices in Preston Road, Brighton, won a Silver award at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2005.
South-East regional managing director Rob Leitch received the award at a ceremony in Birmingham, where actor Richard Wilson was guest speaker.
Bluestone's South-East division was among almost 500 entrants in the construction sector. Next year the division will be eligible for a gold award.
Mr Leitch said: "This is a superb achievement that demonstrates Bluestone's commitment to health and safety.
"From providing school safety talks to our meticulous approach at our construction sites, we are determined to minimise risk and foster a culture of excellent health and safety practice."
Dave Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, says: "Bluestone's South-East division has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management and is a fine example to many other companies.
"We would like to see more organisations following its lead."
