A man accused of trying to smuggle a plane into Iran is due in court today.
Ali Manzarpour, of Middle Road, Brighton, will appear before officials in Warsaw.
He faces extradition to the United States on charges of attempting to transport a single-engine Berkut 360 from the USA to Iran via Britain.
The Iranian-born British citizen was jailed seven years ago at Lewes Crown Court for attempting to smuggle three-quarters of a ton of high-grade steel into Iran.
Mr Manzarpour, 43, maintains he had a licence to export the plane from Britain but American officials claim he has broken strict rules governing trade between the US and Iran by booking it for shipment. The kit plane was exported from the US between April and May last year. A former student at Crawley College, he was arrested in Poland following an FBI investigation and faces up to 50 years in jail if he is extradited.
