One of playwright Harold Pinter's earliest plays, which encapsulates his trademark sense of menace and the use of meaningful silences.
In the creepy basement of a long-abandoned restaurant two hired killers wait, trapped, for enigmatic orders from above.
Each has a gun, and seems ready to kill. But a lack of information, either known to them, or expressed by them so we know, keeps the lid on the proverbial pot.
Meanwhile they bicker about trivial matters, such as a malfunctioning toilet which has a delayed flush and the ancient dumb waiter, which descends with ominous notes requesting food.
This show is performed by Restless Wings, a local youth theatre company.
