Brenda Barnes (Letters, June 17) was horrified seeing a "tramp" emptying a bin bag in the street.
But she wasn't horrified he was homeless or that he was surviving by scavenging in other people's refuse.
Nor did she complain that, in one of the world's richest countries, he had to survive in this way in the first place.
In fact, why did Ms Barnes complain about the litter and not the plight of the tramp?
