Nowadays, children do not seem to be introduced to the potty until they are well over two years old.
When my children were young, in the Seventies, towelling nappies were still in use and washing and drying them was quite a chore.
I started my children's potty training before their first birthday and it paid dividends.
My grandchildren wear disposable nappies, as do most babies in the UK. As disposable nappies are causing a headache for our local authorities, surely early potty is a must for the environmentally-minded?
