Chichester Priory Park have increased their lead of the Premier League after a six-wicket win at Steyning.

Brighton and Hove were without a game but Horsham moved into contention with a seven-wicket win at home to Littlehampton.

Steyning batted first in sweltering conditions to reach 205-8 declared against Chichester.

Rob Wakeford led the way with 53 and Jibran Khan made 49 while Nick Colley provided early stability with 34. Nick Dyer took 3-50 and James Steadman 2-48, John Edwards grabbing three stumpings.

The league's leading wicket taker Fazl-e-Akbar took just a single scalp.

Daniel Oliver led the leaders' victory bid with 62. Peter Towner cracked 47 and David Leaver 40 not out. For Steyning, Dave Mates took 3-62.

Littlehampton found runs hard to come by at Horsham and were bowled out for 190 from 55 overs as Mark Nash took 4-41.

South African 19-year-old Chris Cooke was top scorer with 40. Benn Challen made 26 and Chris Kirkham 26.

Chris Nash then put the Littlehampton attack to the sword, cracking 110 not out from 68 balls including 16 fours and four sixes. Skipper Luke Marshall waded in with 50 to take the home side to 191-3 from just 25.1 overs.

John Hancock hit 65 to help Hastings to 210 all out at Preston Nomads.

He was helped by 43 from Jason Finch and an amazing 34 not out from skipper Carl Read, who hit four successive sixes to complete the innings.

Nick Hobbs took 3-57 and Kashif Ibrahim 3-46 for Nomads.

Joe Gatting gave Nomads a good start with 59 and Aaron Phillips made 51 but the Hastings bowlers took control as John Morgan claimed 3-43 and Rushdie Hendricks and Jason Finch chipped in with two wickets apiece as the home side were dismissed for182.

Three Bridges won for the first time this season in a high-scoring game at East Grinstead.

Bridges were put in and made hay to reach 272-5 as James Chadburn scored 112 and Danny Alderman 90.

The home side were always up against the run rate and eventually were dismissed for 247 with 86 from Alex Edwards and 69 from Paul Turk.

Nick Creed took 5-49 and Danny Alderman 3-64.

Just eight points separate the top three in division two, all of whom won on Saturday.

Once again it was captain Chris Mole who led from the front for Cuckfield.

He hit 109 not out in a winning total of 186-3 after his side had held Roffey to 181-8.

In the Roffey total, Chris Plaister made 47 not out and Michael Norris 34, Billy Harris taking 3-68.

St James won a low-scoring match at Sidley by five wickets.

The home side tumbled to 111 all out in 40 overs with Chris Hunnisett making top score of 29. Steve Green took 4-30 and Zeuben Bhettay 4-46.

St James' winning score of 113-5 featured 49 from Kris Johnson. Richard Allum added 29 and Peter King took 3-46.

Ollie Rogers hit 107 for Worthing, who were put in by Stirlands and moved smoothly to 264-4. Aussie Blayne Cornford struck 40 in support of Rogers.

Stirlands were then dismissed for 251, Chris Mansell taking 5-59 and Andy Lutwyche 3-57. Top scorer for Stirlands was Richard Thelwell with 89 while Tim Robinson made 52.

Mansell, with 5-59, and Lutwyche, with 3-57, did the bulk of the bowling to earn Worthing their fourth win of the campaign.

Haywards Heath won for the first time this season, at Pulborough, having drawn all their other games to date.

Pulborough tumbled to 92-8 but somehow managed to reach 202 all out as skipper Ashley Clarke made 81 not out and Gavin Clarke 31. Stuart Faith was the pick of the bowlers with 5-49.

The visitors reached their target at 206-6 with Ed Williams hitting 37 and Hayden James 34.

Lewes Priory won by 101 runs at the Stanley Turner Ground after being put in by Bexhill.

The home side reached 250-5 as Richard Eborn made his maiden League century with exactly 100, including 20 fours. Skipper Michael Murray added 47 and Nick Walters 36 as Chris Topp took 4-70.

Bexhill then tumbled to 149 all out. Jesse Lewis made 47 as Nick Walters took 4-38.
