The King Alfred development's green light is great news. Councillors are, at last, making the right decisions.
Brighton needs dynamic innovations and, as it has one of the most confined and dense infrastructures anywhere in the South, the only way is up.
But Brighton also needs more affordable houses. The council's policy is that 40 per cent of homes have to be "affordable".
This applies to all developments but is something the council has, so far, ignored.
