Developers will meet residents in an attempt to reassure them over plans for a £10 million waste transfer station.
Campaigners opposing the facility, which would be sited at a former abattoir off Hollingdean Lane, Brighton, will meet officials from waste contractor Onyx and Brighton and Hove City Council at Downs Infant School in Ditchling Road on Thursday.
The Dump The Dump campaign say this is the only occasion when Onyx and council officers have agreed to meet them although Onyx held a public exhibition earlier this year advertising its plans. The campaign fears the development will cause extra noise and traffic pollution.
It has attracted more than 2,000 letters of objection.
Residents who want to attend the meeting should email cityclean@brighton-hove.gov.uk or call 01273 274674.
