Hundreds of boats will meet off Beachy Head to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.
The event, organised by Eastbourne cruise company Allchorn Pleasure Boats and the Sovereign Harbour Berth Holders' Association, aims to attract more than 700 vessels.
Canon Geoffrey Aintree, vicar of St John's Church in Meads, Eastbourne will give an address on board the William Allchorn, a pleasure boat which had been operating for more than 50 years in Eastbourne.
Lifeboats from Eastbourne and Newhaven will take part.
Spectators should get a good view from various vantage points along the coast from Sovereign Harbour to Beachy Head.
The event on Friday will start at 6pm and the boats are expected to disperse at about 8pm.
