We were told if the West Pier was rebuilt, it would have to be a metre higher because of rising sea levels.
So why is it all right for the King Alfred to have an underground car park, which is well below sea level? As the sea rises, how safe will the new flats be? Would owners be forced to sell or get insurance?
Also, we were expecting - and need - an Olympic-size swimming pool. Anything less will be a white elephant and would not generate enough income. We also need more sporting facilities for Hove residents of all ages.
Why are we paying MPs, councillors and expensive designers to give us something which is already at the King Alfred - a small swimming pool?
Let's think big sporting facilities, not trendy ones. We haven't got the services for 750 flats, so let's think with common sense, too.
