TV hunk Philip Olivier will lead the Brighton Pride Parade on a giant throne.
Philip, known to millions as Brookside's Tinhead and winner of Channel 4's The Games, will sit alongside a 20ft-high sculpture of a bicep at the centre of Brighton Marina's float on August 6.
The sculpture is the climax of the Big Muscle competition promoting the new Brighton Marina logo.
The marina will be looking for the biggest arm in the competition, run as part of Pride 2005.
Once the winner has been chosen, a cast will be made of the arm and converted into the statue.
Philip, who recently featured on the front cover of gay magazine Attitude, said: "Brighton Pride has been a very important event not just on the gay scene but to a much wider audience for many years and I jumped at the opportunity to become involved."
The parade kicks off at 11am on the seafront and winds its way through the city, culminating at Preston Park at 2pm.
